About us



Botswana is one of the only African countries to never be colonised. It did however attract international attention when Seretse Khama, heir to a local kingdom, married a British woman, Ruth Williams, while studying at Oxford. This story was recently turned into a film called A United Kingdom starring David Oyelowo and Rosamund Pike.



Sam's story

Meet Sam





Debswana gave me a purpose in my life. I grew up in Chobe and always had an affinity with the wildlife of the area. Only when I joined Debswana did my love of nature become worthwhile. Debswana recognised my vocation and promoted me to take up wildlife management at Orapa Game Park. Today I love my work. I now own Big Sam Hubber and I am doing what Debswana believed me in for. So trust me, you are in excellent hands at Big Sam Hubber!

"I have not be anywhere outside Botswana, but i believe few places can compare to my country's natural beauty, especially the Okavango Delta. It is spectacular especially after the rains, when you hear the croak of the frogs, see the crocodiles laying on the river banks and the animals coming for a dip to cool down. All that in one place. It is incredible. That is what makes me love the rivers. With my boat i can see all this everyday and feel like i am one with the environment"

Big Sam Hubber’s transport fleet is extensive. We facilitate travel on land and water. We have open safari vehicles as well as a other enclosed vehicles which connect you with those long out of town tours to cultural villages, historic sights as well as the many picturesque places dotted over the area. Do not miss the fascinating boat rides that bring you so close to the hippos, the crocodiles and the various bird life.



Safari Vehicles



Our fleet of safari vehicles will take you anywhere you want to go in the wild. We have three 10-seater cruisers perfect for any request. They are open but offer safety. You will be able to capture unobscured fantastic images to document your safari drive and keep the memories forever.



Boats



Our boats cater for individual to group tours perfect for sunset cruises on the Chobe River and the Okavango Delta's fascinating waterways which demand this up-close and personal mode of transport for an unparalleled aquatic experience. Our boats seat 21 and 25 respectively.



Mini Bus



Planning a transfer or trip to a cultural village? No need to worry, we have you covered! Our fully air-conditioned mini bus, quantum combi or mini vans will get you there. Our vehicles offer comfortable seats so you arrive still feeling fresh.
